God is Light

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you,

that God is light,

and in him is no darkness at all.

If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness,

we lie and do not practice the truth.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light,

we have fellowship with one another,

and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

If we say we have no sin,

we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins,

he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins

and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Gazing on the Beauty of the LORD

One thing have I asked of the LORD,

that will I seek after:

that I may dwell in the house of the LORD

all the days of my life,

to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD

and to inquire in his temple

…and

I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy;

I will sing and make melody to the LORD.

Glad Hearts

Today is a new day, let us be glad and put our trust in the creator, the one who fashioned our hearts! Let’s give thanks that we can start this day in the right direction, focusing on the LORD!  May he direct our hearts to trust in Him first, fully today and every day!

The Good Portion

good portionNow as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village.

And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house.

And she had a sister called Mary,

who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to his teaching.

But Martha was distracted with much serving.

And she went up to him and said,

“Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone?

Tell her then to help me.”

But the Lord answered her,

“Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things,

but one thing is necessary.

Mary has chosen the good portion,

which will not be taken away from her.”

Bless the Lord

I will bless the LORD at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul makes its boast in the LORD;
let the humble hear and be glad.
Oh, magnify the LORD with me,
and let us exalt his name together!

and delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant,
